Hey..you… WAKE UP!
TO those FREE and OPEN MINDED people who might just read this HELLO and welcome.
To those closed ones, that strike out in fear, [hiding behind net FLAMES], at that they don’t understand or disagree with and feel they must destroy or degredate in order to make themselves feel better, good day, please, for ALL OUR sakes, BE GOOD OR BE GONE.
‘One out of three people are Biggits, two out of three don’t know how to spell it and if you look around and don’t see one, maybe it’s YOU?”
That was in response to a posting where someones’ beliefs were attacked because the writer needed to make themselves feel better about that which they did not understand or agree with.
ON a lighter note, what games are you looking forward to? IN my last post I spoke of looking forward to Fire Emblem, Dennis, I ALMOST agree’d(?) with you in the doubt about Fire Emblem until my impression was again given support, just today.
Truth be told, Since getting Advance: Wars Days of Ruin (aka Dark Conflict) I dug out and dusted off my old copy of Dual Strike [which I never finished] then went and bought AW Black Hole and the Original Advance Wars, all just to brush up. I have to admire those who can go through these games like (AW) and being honest with themselves and not using a guide, walkthrough or cheat, can finish the game…, not matter what the score.
Now, I’m an avid chess player and spend probably 15 hours a week studying past historical games just to brush up on techniques and learn new ones. These young wipper-snappers (I’m in my 40’s) who just pick up AW and breeze through it, have my attention and respect.
(BTW, what ever happened to giving someone their due and helping them to greater heights with praise for thier accomplishments, rather than picking them apart for their differences?) …guess that’s reserved for people with intelligence or respect…
ANYWAYYYY
I sit here with walkthroughs for both Dual Strike AND Days of Ruin and still struggle to complete with a score better than B!
I guess Einstein said it well when he said…

Right now my list of want it games is growing… this is based on games as they will be released in the US… such as…Chess Crusade (7-7-08) (had to see that one commin̵
Sid Meiers Civilization Revolution (6-2-08), Etrian Odyssy 2 (6-17-08 Loved the 1st one), Myst (5-13-08 ahhh the chance to play that one again, played it on a MAC the first time…), Gauntlet (6-17-08), Final Fantasy Tactics A2, either (6-10 or 16-
Puzzle Quest Galactrix (10-14-08) (I predicted the first would be successful and boy was I right one there!) Ducati Racing 6-10-08 (only for the WiFi Potential and YEAH I ride…a 77 BMW Boxer) let’s not forget Rubiks World (10-21-
I hope it’s something like the mobile Rubiks Tubes. Oh, and believe it or not, I’m a Harvest Moon Fan (and Animal Crossing:WW, Loving Ruin Factory) so I have to pick up a token River King; Mytic River on 4-22-08, even if it sits on my shelf collecting dust…’ cause it’s a kiddie game… but the concept hold promise.
I feel the future of gaming depends on us supportting those types of games that are even LIKE what we want, if we are to send a point loud and clear to publishers of what it IS we want to see… how do they say…. ‘Think Globally, Act Locally’.

Hey! You seem like someone who knows their stuff when it comes to video games. Let’s see if you can help me. I’m looking around for possible games to give to my teenage nephew for his birthday next month. He’s gotten really interested in gaming recently and has both a DS and Playstation. My friend suggested Kingdom Hearts; I’m leaning towards any FF game, but haven’t decided yet. Here’s a list that I’ve been looking at for a few weeks now but haven’t been able to make a choice yet. My nephew has played a bunch of video games but nothing in the RPG realm. Do you have any suggestions for a good intro RPG game that will still be pretty challenging? The list is below. Thanks for your help, and good luck with the blog!

Sorry for the delay, I’m on so many websites anymore I have forgotten which ones and all the passwords…
When you say playstation I assume you mean playstation 1? Then yes, kingdon hearts is a great rpg. if you mean the PSP (handheld) then I’d say Gods of War which is actually an action game, or Final Fantasy Crisis Core is a good RPG for the PSP, I am playing Dungeon Seige Throne of Agony on the PSP righ now.
For the DS, if you want to go with a real winner as far as RPG’s go, get The World Ends with You, you can’t lose there. It’s tough to describe but one of the best RPG’s (non Dungeons and Dragons styler) on a handheld today.
I am playing Civilization REvolution on both the Xbox 360 AND the DS, and I’m loving it as Civilization for the computer has always been my fav game on ANY platform. hope this helps but I’m guessing the time it took me to respond, you’ve already made your choice.
